Meet Our Trainers

Amanda Jenkot

NASM Certified Personal Trainer | ZUU Mobility | SilverSneakers Yoga | Functional Fitness Specialty

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a Personal Trainer at the BC Y and the SilverStars instructor at the Albion Y. I specialize in strength and functional fitness, with additional certifications in ZUU mobility, SilverSneakers yoga, and fitness for the aging population.
My approach is rooted in real-life experience: about six years ago, I lost 70 lbs through consistent movement and better nutrition. Since then, I’ve intentionally added strength-focused weight back on—and I’ve never felt more powerful. My husband joined me on the journey and lost over 100 lbs himself, which has made this lifestyle change even more meaningful for both of us
I love working with dumbbells, kettlebells, and barbells—and I love helping people discover that these tools aren’t intimidating; they’re empowering. Whether you’re new to movement or ready to take your strength to the next level, I’m here to help you build confidence and feel capable in your everyday life.
Outside the gym, I’m a proud mom to a 17-year-old daughter and a very vocal Olde English Bulldog named Dominic (yes, I complain about him, but it’s all love). My husband George and I have been married for 12 incredible years, and he’s my biggest supporter.
My passion is helping people realize they are stronger than they think—both physically and mentally. Let’s grow strong(H)er together.

    Denise Jeroszko

NASM Certified Personal Trainer | AFAA Group Fitness Instructor

Denise is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor here at the Y. With credentials from NASM and AFAA, she’s passionate about helping people feel strong, confident, and empowered through movement — especially strength training.
She’s a big believer in the power of building muscle — not just for the physical benefits, but for what it does for your mindset and confidence. For Denise, strength training is about showing up for yourself, pushing past limits, and realizing what you’re truly capable of.
Her coaching style is straightforward, goal-focused, and supportive. She’s not one for quick fixes or sugar-coating. Denise works best with clients who are ready to commit, put in the work, and take ownership of their journey. If you’re ready to stop making excuses and start making progress, she’s here to guide you every step of the way.
Denise’s own journey began five years ago, after having two of her three children (now ages 3, 6, and 8). During a demanding season of motherhood, she made the choice to prioritize her health — and that choice changed everything. She understands how tough it can be to carve out time for yourself, but also how life-changing it is when you do.
What started as a personal goal quickly grew into a passion for strength and self-growth. That passion led her to become a trainer so she could help others experience the same transformation. Today, she works with clients both in person and online, creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and challenged.
If you’re ready to work hard, stay consistent, and build real strength — inside and out — Denise is ready to help you get there.

      Noah Elferdink

      Certified Personal Trainer

Hi! I’m Noah, a new certified personal trainer with a strong passion for helping people build strength safely and effectively. While I am new to the training world, I focus strongly on both proper technique and form to help clients move better, feel stronger, and avoid injury.
I’m all about the basics: building a solid foundation for exercise to increase strength and reduce chances of injury. I work closely to ensure exercises are performed correctly; to reduce chances of injury and help you gain confidence in the gym and see real progress over time.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to fine-tune your form and push past a plateau, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s build your strength — one rep at a time.

        McKenzie Newling

        NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Hi, I’m McKenzie! But you can call me Mack!
I’ve been a trainer for over 10 years, and I’m so excited to bring my passion for health and fitness to the YMCA community. As a mom to two young children, I know how important it is to feel strong and confident through every stage of life. I’ve personally walked through postpartum recovery, weight loss, and navigating women’s hormonal health—and I love helping others do the same.

Whether you’re joining me in a group class, small group training, or one-on-one, my goal is to make fitness fun, approachable, and something you look forward to. I can’t wait to cheer you on and help you reach your goals!
